Moving Gently is about allowing movement to align, massage, lengthen and connect to the body with ease with the help of the Gyrokinesis method and a live ambient sound journey.
The Gyrokinesis Method will address the function of the anatomical body in movement along with breathing patterns, rhythm, and flow. Simultaneously, the live ambient sound journey, orchestrated by Louise, will support and guide our movement to its fullest potential.
About Kindall
With a background in dance and dance science, Kindall cares deeply about how movement can fuel our creative being and can be educational for ourselves - be it physical, emotional, or both.
Kindall utilizes her experience and knowledge to guide people to increase awareness, alignment, and strength while maintaining fluidity in movement. Therefore, you will finish the class feeling lighter and more connected to the body.
About Louise
Louise is a Movement and Sound Artist. Her live productions are ambient, multi-layered sound journeys. She blends deep bass with the sounds of ancient instruments, creating an immersive sonic tapestry.
Her ethereal vocals weaving throughout, inviting listeners to move their bodies while experiencing a sense of both grounding and expansiveness.

Introduction to the Gyrokinesis Method

Gyrokinesis is a movement method that was created by ballet dancer Juliu Horvath in the 1980’s to cope with injuries from dancing. Therefore the focus is about moving in circular and spiraling movements to avoid compression in the joints, which is very accessible to movers of all levels. This method is influenced by a range of practices like qi gong, tai chi, yoga, swimming, and dance to fully enhance our mind/body connection.
Classes begin sitting on a stool with self-massage and spinal motion sequences along specific breathing patterns. The class continues with movement sequences on the floor and standing. You will learn how to relieve pressure in the joints, move and mobilize tight areas, and find strength and length simultaneously to provide better support for the whole body.

This workshop will be in 2 parts; you can attend one or both. The aim of these classes is to explore the benefits of movement, self-care, and how movement can enhance both our mental and physical wellbeing. This is also a chance to explore areas and sequences that resonate with you the most that you can begin, or continue, into your daily life to normalize and support your wellbeing needs.
